10w 30 and a mitsu oil filter

Have you already been running synthetic? If not, and you do decide to switch over, it puts a lot of stress on the engine seals and whatnot.

The clown I bought my car ran 5w30 Syn since the cars inception.
I just bought a 6qt case from Costco, 10w30 full Syn for $27 and change, and it wasn't the high mileage stuff either.
In fact before I ran into that case, I wasn't even sure I was going to be able to find Mobil 1 10w30 full syn anywhere.

I run the 1g Mitsu Filters part# MZ690116, they're made by Denso.
They are much fatter and shorter allowing a huge 3" DP to clear the filter no problem.
I get them from the dealer at $4.06 a filter for a case of 10.

Honestly I can't remember exactly where my factory gauge sits while cruising (cars been in winter storage for 6 months). I think its between half and three quarters but not 100% sure. I don't really pay much attention to the stock gauge as I have a Greddy oil pressure gauge. There really shouldn't be much difference between a 5w & 10w 30 oil, as they both act like a 30 weight once warmed, just the 5w is thinner on startup, which I think is a good thing.
