what to use to shave valve cover

Ok so what would be the easiest thing to shave just the lines and letters off my valve cover?

Grinder. Power sanding tool. Buffer. Elbow grease. Elbow grease. Elbow grease.

Yes, you can use and angle grinder… First try something like a 60 grit wheel to really get the heavy stuff off. Be careful not to gouge anything. Set the grinder on an angle and work back and forth very carefully. Eventually you will see the letters slowly getting lower. When the letters are almost completely down, uses an orbital sander to smooth everything out, move to something finer like a 120 grit wheel then a 320 grit wheel to get everything smooth. If you can't do the work yourself, you might look around for people selling shaved valve covers... they are readily available, if you don't mind paying

Well I have a valve cover just laying around I was just going ot do it myself for the hell of it for something to do ... I tried using my dremel with a grind wheel .. didn't work all that well
