Old School Rockford amps are the best.

Anyone remember the cheater amps that put out double what they were rated for? I used to have one of the punch 225 amps and that damn thing was a beast. It laughed at 1 ohm configurations. Wish I still had one.

Haha yeah I used to have the old school punch 80 watt that ran two 12's louder than most 500 watt amps today .

The older Punch 801s is what I had in my GS...it was a KILLER amp. It needed Zero gauge power wire, 1 farad CAP and usually a second battery to run it RIGHT. It had two 2 gauge power terminals and two 2 gauge Ground terminals...and if you didnt give it all the power it wanted then it would NOT work.

However the NEW best buy rockford shit aint that great but its still better than MOST.

pioneer 4x50 with front usb port, and ipod connection - best invention EVER No more scratched CD's. No more skipping when I go over RR tracks.

I have pioneer speakers all around plus 8 inch self powered sub. I would not recommend the pioneer 6x9 - get Rockford - a LOT more bass.

I just bought the Pioneer DEH-P3100UB. I love it. Plays MP3, WMA, AAC, and has bluetooth and a USB port. It displays the song, artist, or album from the ipod/iphone to the receiver. Plus, when you shut your car off, it will start again where it left off. +1 with audio books!!!

My old school cheater system was Auido-Art, I had 2 of the HC50 watt amps wich where 1/4 ohm stable 500w RMS, and the HC125 1/4 ohm 1000w RMS
