What size pistons

I have a 6 bolt that i am rebuilding and i want to run std bore pistons, but i dont want to buy pistons and find out that ill need a bore. I can still see the crosshatching in the cylinders and i cant feel a grove at the top of the cylider (dont know how many miles are on the engine, but was told approx 100,000 but the motor had no mods). i want to use a set of wiseco std bore pistons, do you think that with a hone i will still be within the spec range for the pistons?

It is impossible to tell unless you measure the bore. Take it to a machine shop and ask them if it is within specs.

without exact measurments it is basically impossible to tell where you stand, locally (here at least) a machine shop wouldnt charge shit(definately worth your money and time to double check tho) to check on it for you

What they(first 2 replies) said. One question, why don´t you want std bore? If you are rebuilding, do it right the first time. The pistons cost the same, just a bit extra to machine the block. Be smart and don´t take short cuts were you shouldn´t. Do it right.
