Does anyone know what size injectors come with the Hahn Racecraft stage 2 turbo kit? also I bought that kit when my block and head were stock but now im getting rady to crank up the boost so i was wondering if the injectors that come with the kit would be able to suply enough fuel? thanks for any help.

i Would like too know this also, But im just going to call Hahn on Monday and find out. But i doubt they will cause im having problems trying to run 8lbs of boost with my stage 2 kit.

Am i built ROFL(look at my profile) Do you have a wide ban? If you blew at 4 pounds something was bad wrong! And your probably blow again if you don't find out whats wrong

Well that still should not have blown it IF it was tuned rite, Did you have a wide ban on the car?? It may have been running lean which would blow the way you said it did. Thats the prob im havin with my car is going lean under boost but i watch my wide ban and when it goes lean i let off so it don't go BOOM!!

You need to decide what type of fuel managment your going to use.

Hahn racecraft offers there porterfueler method simple easy, and expensive but its proven. Its an 8injector setup that allows you to run the stock (or slightly bigger) primary injectors with bigger injectors that kick on only when boost is present.

There is also megasquirt which can be a full standalone unit or just your basic fuel piggy back system depending on how indepth you want to get with it. Its a little more advanced, but will cost less.

Then there is your basic SFMU which allows you to set the idle fuel pressure (unlike your standard FMU) and bigger injectors.

Each fuel setup will require a diffferent approach to the size of fuel injector you choose. Along with the amount of power your going to be asking out of the car.

Do a search on all the setups on here and 2gnt.com

ON A Side note: IF your doing top speed runs like that and holding it there for approximately two minutes (long stretch of road), invest in an Exhaust Gas Temp (EGT or Pyrometer) sensor And have it taped into your exhaust manifold or Downpipe.

When the meter reaches 1650 degrees F (or 1450^F if taped into downpipe) its at the point where something in your motor is going to melt or break if you keep it beyond that temp for an extended period of time.

That meter in conjuction with an Oil pressure and Wideband Gauge should help you keep on eye on your new motor that your building.

well what was wrong was i was being a dumbass and doing a top speed run with my buddy and his srt4, i had her to the limit and kept her there for about 2 minutes, then it blew it wasnt a machanical problem:D idk im just suprized my tranny hasnt went up cause its a stock automatic and i dont know were to go to find mods for it

Google IPT for transmission build ups. They do great things with automatic tranmssions, but it will cost a pretty penny. (actually probably about 300 thousand of them)

I guess so! to tell you the truth i kinda wanted it to blow up anyway so it would give myself the incentive to biuld the motor and trans anyway;). but it doesnt matter thats all history. so anyway let me shrink down this very broad topic ive started, will the injectors that come with the hahn racecraft stage 2 16g turbo kit be able to support 20 psi on 8:8:1 compression? bye the way thanks everyone for the help so far especialy big rand, for the trans info hook up!:thumb:

well that is still a broad question, but I do understand what you mean and where your coming from.

I don't remember hahn actually using bigger injectors on their stage 2 turbo kits, because I thought they got by with their cartech FMU (but if that has changed please let me know).

So to answer your question, I don't believe that those injectors will suffice.

I believe a better way to decide what size injectors your going to need is to look at a fuel injector calculator (RC Fuel Injection) and type in the power goal (brake horsepower) as well as other information to get your results.

20lbs is also going to be different on different turbo's So if your sticking with the hahn s16g, then smaller injectors might go a longer way.

This question actually came up reciently and I had my re-seller verify w/ Hahn. Last summer I purchased a Stage I 420a kit through the re-seller: Turbo-kits.com. I was confused as the re-seller was still advertising on thier webpage the 270cc injector upgrade w/ the Stage I kit 6 months after I purchased the kit. When I asked, the sales guy responded with: "No problem, we will get those injectors sent right out to you!". Two days later, I got this response: "That was a Typo by our web designer… I have had is changed. If you go there now and hit control R it will refresh the page and show it was removed. Sorry about the misunderstanding…"

Yeah, someone messed with my MBC and I hit around 13psi on the stock motor with the FMU... Lol, last time anyone works on my car.:coy:

That sucks! :notgood: But anyway i have the stage 2 hanh kit with the 20g not the 16g, And i run out of fuel around 9psi...So to answer you question i don't think your injectors will work for 20 psi:p. For that you probably will have to go to ms or a portfueler like i plan on doing:thumb:

A friend of mine has the han kit and he got 24lbers with it. As far as what size there is a fine line like mentioned above a few times. I have a star kit and using the stock injectors on an fmu @ 12psi no prob. I run out of fuel in 3rd @ 15psi plus. I'm going with 24ibers for now so i can run 15 -18 psi occastionally untill i get a sfmu or an 8 injector set up

Please tell me your using a wideban, Not one of those autometer light show gauges.

Actually nothing right this second belive it or not. Getting an old school blinky for now just so i know if its lean or rich, yes i know it wont tell me by how much but it will help. I actually have done my reserch and talked to many people and i check my plugs constantly. I know its not the safe thing to do but till i have the money for a wideband it is what it is. I do not how ever suggest that anyone else do the no gauge thing. Ive been around cars all my life and have a lot of time and research in on what works well with a turboed 420a. JUst cause im doing something stupid right now doesnt mean i dont know what im talking about, trust me ive been treading lightly

You had me worry'd for a minute :p. But i dont think i would risk running that much boost without a true wideban to make sure you good..But hey if you feel safe with you car more power to you:thumb:
