Well I just got one 12" solo baric thats 600rms 1200 peak....What size amp would you guys reccommend and any specific brand? I want something that will make this b!tch pound...Also I have 8gauge wire ran in my car now, but would I have to switch to 4 gauge?

defintely gonna wanan run a bigger power...a baric will pound no matter what...but i have a friend thats gone threw quite a few L7's.....just go about 75-100 under the RMS w/ the RMS of ur amp u should be pretty good

I'd have to disagree. I would recommend as close to rms as you can get or over. As for amps, check out Planet Audio, MTX, Kicker, RF etc etc etc..... Pick some out and I'll tell you if they are any good. Iv'e been a member over at sounddomain for a couple years.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I just bought a Solo Baric L5...

Kicker S10L5 10" L5 Solo-Baric Subwoofer (DUAL 4 OHM):
10" square subwoofer. Surface area near equivalent to a standard circular 12" sub.
copolymer cone
Santoprene rubber surround
dual voice coils for wiring flexibility (with a compatible amp)
frequency response 24-100 Hz
RMS power handling 450 watts RMS (225 watts per coil)
peak power handling 900 watts
sensitivity 86 dB SPL
top-mount depth 5-7/8"
sealed box volume 0.66-1.0 cubic feet
ported box volume 1.25-2.25 cubic feet

This is the amp I'm looking at for it. Would it be sufficient???
