I just bought 2 kicker l7's 12inch dual 2ohm What amp would be best? each speaker is 750 watts rms, 1500 max

It depends on how far you wana push them and how. Being each one is 2ohm dvc you can make each sub either 1ohm or 4ohm. Some old old badass Orion amps were 1/2ohm stable. It'd kill those subs if wired to show the amp a 1/2ohm load.

Find yourself a reasonably priced amp an run it stereo at 4ohm's to each sub. It'll run cooler an not suck as much power

Go with a kicker zx1500.1 amp. You will get the best sound out if it. Also just cause im interested what is the rest of your system like? Also if you tune those subs right it will be stupid loud. We did a full Kicker system in an Envoy with two 12 L7 and it was the loudest thing that I have ever heard. But the 1500.1 is the amp that you will want to get. I will get the wiring diagram for you tomorrow so that you can wire it correctly. I dont remeber it off the top of my head.

pretty much everything is stock besides the headunit. its some older kenwood but im going to upgrade soon. would a cap be a good idea to get next to a 1500 rms amp? thx

I would add a cap. Also I would recommend adding some components up front and a 4channel. Those subs are going to over power everything in the car other wise. But your best bet would be that amp, it is a perfect match for those subs. And I would Dynamt the whole car. If you need any recommendations for a headunit or anything else send me off a pm.

If I were you I would look into memphis 1500d's or directed audio 1500's. I had a directed 2400d that made 2600 watts rms with two 12" memphis mojos and they were insane. Memphis and directed amps are really efficient, I didnt have a cap with my 2400 and it didnt dim my lights that bad.

well try this EARTHQUAKE PHD3000 or 5000 they are very good under rated amps. I put them up against my RF 1100a2 power amp and it put out considerably more power. keep in mind the 1100a2 is an old skool amp when RF made real good stuff. The earth quake amp costs roughly around 3-400 and i guarantee it will bump. i have that amp pushing 2 10 inch alpine type x's those subs are 1000watt rms power hungry and the car thumps.
