Im getting to the point in installing freeze plugs in the head and block. But I have never installed them before, Ive seen people putting some kind of goop on them and then just tapping them in with a hammer.

So what should i Use on them to make them seal? and best way to install? thank you.

When I installed mine I put a thin layer of black RTV on the sealing lip and took a socket and tapped the freeze plug in its hole. Don't put it in there to far or you will have to destroy it to get it back out to try again.

3M yellow weatherstrip glue. It starts off pliable but dries hard as nails to seal the lip and any imperfections on the engine and freeze plug.
