1- i have a 95 talon 420a, i started with exhaust (headers, muffler, downpipe, cat), im about to take it down to the head i gotta replace valve seals, while i have it took down, im gonna replace a few things, (timing belt pulleys pumps ect..

2- i dont know which is the better route, i dont have much cash should i do cams, adj gears, and tunned, or drop 900$ on a crappy turbo t3,t4 and only run 8pounds of boost?

3- when it comes to cams i only wont stage 1 cams so keep that in mind car has 100k miles i rebuilt here and there but not enough to run over 8psi or stage 3 cams maybe stage 2 but i dont wanna risk till i buy a engine and rebuild

so wait... you put n/t (w/turbo) in your profile, and you don't actually have a turbo? please fix your profile and stop frontin' or else we won't help you.

wow dude really? frontin? im a new member i didnt relize that i put that easy mistake, why the hell would i front about a car. plus its right below talon n/t

LOL. I'm sorry, figured you were one of those people who did it because "i'm going to turbo it later" a lot of the new members have been acting like that, but they never turbo their cars.

thanks for fixing it and proving that there is hope for you =D

now to your question, you won't get much gain from cams, your best bet would be a turbo and low boost. for that 900 don't get a crappy turbo, get a t25 or a 14b, no point going bigger since you can't run all that much boost anyway. start doing research on building a turbo 420a, that information is all over this site. if all else fails google "turbo 420a dsm" sometimes google is better at finding things on this site than the embedded search is.

ps. really am sorry for being an ass.

its ok, i plan on getting another 420a, and building it so run about 20psi or so but i wont start on it till maybe summer, but for now as a DD i wont it just fast enough to have fun ya know.

when i rebuild il go almost all out after market cams, crank, pistons ect.. but still with my DD if i do stage 1 cams and tuned and like a obx intake manifold with the mods i already have u can say what a 30 or 40hp increase? prob bring the car around 200hp

i dont think stage one cams are worth much. i agree with DARTHVADAR TSI you should get your car in tip top shape and then start on tuning! its never a bad idea to upgrade a good running car!

8 psi of boost makes a huge difference. Makes you faster than a stock turbo 4g63. I would say go boost, then you get 420a reliability (if done right) and 4g63 power.

Probably not. 420a suck for n/a power. Maybe 160-175 tops.

I'm assuming you mean crank hp, because there is no way that you would see 160whp from stage 1 cams and the obx I'M.

Most of what I've read about cams is that stage 1 isn't really even worth it. And as far as an intake manifold, you need to see all motor mike, not obx.

It was an approx with his full exhaust and then cams. And yes its crank hp.
