Resolved What pulley powers alternator?

For the life of me can't find the name or part #.

I am in need of a new pulley that powers the alternator. There were 2 pulleys side by side, I need the outer one for a 97 GST.

Edit: not the pulley on the alt. the one that has the belt going to the alt. this particular car has one that's rough and chewing up/snapping the alt belt.

The crank pulley/harmonic balancer as that is the only one that drives any of the accessory belts? MD377604

The water pump pulley? Outer, bigger pulley for alternator belt, MD124049. Power steering belt, smaller inner pulley, MD191110.

You need the pulley for the water pump bro???

the pulley with two side by side is the water pump pulley. the inner pulley connects to the power steering. and the outer pulley connects to the alt, and crank pulley... the crank drives the water pump that drives the alt and ps pump

tip, if you put the outer pulley on back wards, the belt wont be in line with the other pulleys. IF the gap between the two pulleys is more than 1/8 +/- its on backwards..

It's the pulley that powers the alternator an whatever else. I swear looking in there were 2 pulleys.. One that went to the PS pump, the other went to the alternator. The pulley on the outside, right by the driver side moor mount needs to be replaced.

So I need to get her an outer water pump pulley?

Again, it doesn't power anything. All the accessory belts are driven from the crank pulley.

But yes, it sounds like you are after the outer water pump pulley. See post #2 for part number.
