What offset do I need?

Ok, I have a black 2g that I'm looking to get some wheels for. Thus far I'm on some exel wheels with a 35mm offset. I am lowered on d2 suspension.
I can't lower my car any more because the tires will rub on the body and I would like to go lower. I'm looking to purchase some 17x7.5 Rota Grid wheels w/ a 225/45/17 tire.
What offset should I go with? My choices are +45 or +48
Now after researching and what not, I am still unsure of how this works. Is the high the number for the offset the more it will be tucked into the wheel well?
Btw I want a gold wheel, how would that look on a black car?

I've read that, but am still confused for some reason. My only 2 options are a 46 or 48mm offset, so maybe I'll go w/ the 48 and see how they work. Stock is 46mm from what I've read. So I would think that with a 48 they won't rub and wont' hit the suspension.

I thought you said +45mm. You better lock it in before it gets any greater or you won't be able to use them at all.

You should be alright with the +45s or +46s, whichever they are, and 225/45/17 tires.
