Well my goal is to have around 450 awhp, and I'd just like to hear from more experienced people what all would it take for me to get that kinda power.

there are great tips and tricks and upgrade paths up on the red bar up top near dsmtuners logo on top of page. but for starters go with 3" turbo back exhaust, larger turbo (20g, holset, gt35), fuel injectors and pump with a fpr and return line, clutch/tranny upgrades, head studs to keep head from popping off with that much boost. but make sure all of your car is worthy enough to handle new found power before you mod it all, like good timing belt, compression/leakdown tests, new headgasket when you put studs in etc. happy modding!!

oh yeah, you will be heat soaking that side mount, so go with a fmic if not water/air ic, some hard pipes, and way to tune...ecmlink, aem ems (if you know what you are doing, or have someone around who does)

Thanks i'll check that thread out, and i should posted the mods already done, its got 272's in it a fmic an sbr 50 trim and a turbo xs bov, thats pretty much it

You should get dsmlink with some 1000cc injectors. Dsmlink will control them if you ever want more power. Get a good filter and intake pipe. Def check out the upgrade paths.

i dont have anything to tune with, i don't have larger injectors or anything fuel related done didnt think id need anything till i had something like that, really what im wanting to know is what i'll need to be in the 400-450whp range, like injector size, if my turbo is going to be able to make that power without struggle or not, things of that nature if that makes sense

Definitely a 3" turbo back for starters good intake FP 4" bigger injectors 660's 720's, FP race manifold, SMIM, boost controller, and a must have to achive goals that you are looking for DSMlink. You are going to want to get a WBO2 as well. Not sure if your BOV will hold boost for the amount boost you will need to push to reach your goals.

read, read, and re-read the forums some more. 450hp is attainable but requires a lot more knowledge than you seem to have at this point if you are asking this question. We were all there at some point so no worries .


First off make sure all the maintenance is up to date on the car- fluids, belts, water pump, etc. Nothing sucks more than modding a car only to have it shit the bed because you failed to do routine maintenance. Also make sure to get a true boost gauge since the stocker is useless.

Next you'll want something to log data with. There are tons of options out there, search the forums for what people are using and i'm sure you'll find something that will work for your experience level/budget. A true wideband 02 would be nice to have too but isn't necessary.

If you are truly on the stock injectors then you will want to upgrade. Stock 450s will simply not flow enough fuel for that turbo. Remember that bigger injectors will need something to control them-- SAFC or ECMLink. A fuel pump upgrade along with a fuel pressure regulator (if you go with a big pump like the wally 255)
