What octane fuel do you guys run in your cars? I've notice a significant increase in engine performance and fuel economy when running 93 octane. =/

cheap but effective octane booster
California. We aren't allowed to have octane.illuminatus said:What octane fuel do you guys run in your cars?
Not likely. Yours shouldn't require premium, and the octane additives take up energy room in the fuel- you don't get as much out of it as you do regular. The additives also add to deposits. Unless the car's fighting the regular (pinging or "knocking"I've notice a significant increase in engine performance and fuel economy when running 93 octane. =/
) it's not good to use premium. You'd do better to tune to regular gas in an N/T.93 plus a bottle of octane boost/injector cleaner EVERY TIME. I just rebuilt my head with new valves, all new fuel system, injectors, etc. and I want to keep them that way!
