What octane fuel do you guys run in your cars? I've notice a significant increase in engine performance and fuel economy when running 93 octane. =/

I run nothing but Sunoco 94 in my tank. I'm sure it's overkill for the measly 15# of boost I'm running, but the margin of error is there if I need it. For an N/T I don't think you'll notice a serious difference between 89 and 93. Compare the increase in performance and economy of 87 next to 89. You probably pay $.20 more for 93 per gallon, so the question to ask would be is your mileage increase enough to warrant the extra cost of 93? Another thing to pay attention to is the "brand" of gasoline. Some providers put more additives than others into the gasoline, so you're getting more crap and less actual gasoline.

93...Wont run anything less...I have bc the moron at the gas station (new jersey) put in regualr and I wasnt paying attention till after...But he heard it from me...And I did notice the difference between the prem and reg

93 Octane and if I'm feeling greedy, I'll pay for the Sunoco Ultra 94.

I am running 93 octane here in MD. I also use some octane booster/ fuel injector cleaner around every oil change to clean things up a bit.

I wouldnt use anything less than 92 or the highest octane rating you can get at every pump. Anything less on, a turbo model, can cause detonation (pre ignition).

92 Chevron when gas is expensive, 94 Chevron when it's cheap.

I second Shell Vpower 93 octane :thumb: Its the best i can get here usually. The track has 110 but that$ a little much. Citgo SUX :barf: Makes my car run like POO..

93 octane on the street, 94 when i go to the track, this year I'll be playing with a mix of toulene and 94 when I go down to the track.
