What kind of gauges do you "cool" guys have?

I have a red 97 GSX and I would like to get some gauges for my car. But i really dont know what kind to get and how many. I would like the Autometer Ultra lite Series or Carbon Fiber Series. Probably Boost Gauge, EGT Gauge and some other one. But I can't really decided which one so can anyone post the picture of their gauges please. And also what color should I go with because I have a red car and blue really dont go with it. One more where can I get 2G A-Pillar Triple Gauge Mount in baige color?

lo-tek makes some good a-pillars for our cars and yes you can get them in the tan color, and as far as gauges go it depends on how much you wanna spend... autometer is pretty much the cheap standard that everyone uses...but delphi makes some great gauges and so do others, just look around in the members gallery for awhile i'm sure you'll find some sort of gauge you like.

I like greddy gauges but i really dont like the price. I like autometer because its cheap and looks good. But pods i cant find. lo-tek site is down. Everywhere i look they only have dual but if they have triple then only in black. I only check DSMotorsport and slowboy. Is tan color on these pods would match my baige int or its different. I really dont know what tan means. My english is not the greatest.

I love good ol' autometer sport comp gauges, I have been using them in varous cars for years. I really like the cobalt and lunar series as well. Anyways here is my set up for now.

:laugh: :laugh: always a good guage to have. i got an autometer triple pillar guage pod from summit racing and just painted it beige with some interior vinyl paint

not to hijack the thread but what autometer gauges light up good enough to see them but not soo much that it irritates the eyes. Reason i'm asking is because many people have complained that f.ex the ultra lites don't light up enough and that the lunars are to bright. Don't wanna do the LED mod either(butter fingers). I had the cobalts before and they were good but don't really wanna pay for electronic gauges :thumbdown

Btw: the nexus series that autometer are coming with soon are pimp

I dont have any night pics but I put amber bulbs in my autometers to match my factory lighting and I can see them fine. They are also wired into the factory dimmer so they adjust with the dash lights.

What about the back lights on this Unltra lite series? Are they bright and what colors are they coming in? And i have a red car so what color should be my lights inside? I alweys loved blue but blue and red? i was thinking red and red but am not a fan or red that much. Can someone post their gauges in red?

pod is from carbontrix, not alot of peeople seem to run it though. It holds 2 5/8" guages perfect and makes them really easy to see.

i have the autometer carbon fiber series and they are awesome. I will have pics of them soon. I just need to find a decent a pillar gauge pod. Do they have any that snap into the factory location? Do i really have to drill them in?

I used the orange so they look exactly like the stock color. i think i have a pic let me go look for it.

theres one down in this thread but it looks bad because i lightend it up but look atthe console the gauge there you can see its orange like stock.....they are exactly the same color and the gauge will come with the orange cap for you. ill get better pictures tonight for you.

top is EGT middle is vac/boost and bottom is f/p. the dash pod is coolant temp and oil pressure. Here is my old autometer guages with red lights. (kind of blury)
