yeah...gettin that launch down is crucial.

I got a buddy that had an srt (the one I just happened to be racing last summer my very first night out when I went BOOM ROFL ), and he would outlaunch guys in awd scubies. If I can get 60' under the 2.2 area, I'll be soo happy

This is true...my best 60' was 2.332 against an awd subies who only had a 2.427 60'!!! I still lost, but this was my best run at 14.557 at 101.44...he ran a 14.350 at 98.98...it's that dang awd stuff...ROFL Keep on rockn' guys...:rocks:

What year SRT? Just out of curiosity.

The 04's came with lsd but the 03's didn't

He had an '05, so yes lsd was included.

these cars are capable of 11s on a completely stock motor if someone is willing to push the envelope and see how much the motor can take with a GOOD tune. my motor is completely stock from the valve cover down and have ran 12.4s consistently for about 6months now with no major problems besides a shitty spec clutch that just didnt want no more.

i am a guy on 2gnt.com that has gone mid 12s in one of these cars, a good tuner will go a long way!!!

Honestly, You've been lucky. I congradulate you on your accomplishment, it is quite amazing! But I don't want you to promote doing the same thing you have done. Obviously most are not going to get a great tune/lucky like you have, and then when there motor blows while running 14's, they will come here to bi*** at you and the likes for saying they could run 11's. But congrats.

Well, I guess I would just love to know, who tuned your car, and what kind of engine mangament system you've got going on.

I'm just curious, because I feel my car has the potential to run mid to low 13's without slicks, and hopefully without breaking anything, but nothing is promised ya know.

I too would like to know who and what is the amazing Gandhi who tuned that bad-boy?

And I know that Rands car is wheel capable of mid-low 13's...b/c we have the same setup...LOL. But it is for sure capable of some dang good numbers...everything was done right...now you just got to get Torque Freaks on that E-manage...or Tuner Gandhi over here...:tease:

Congrats on the good numbers though, awddynamite...not many get there...you got video though? And is that in the 1 gen you have listed or is that on the 2gnt that you don't have listed? Just curious?

im part of a shop in las vegas called trevtec and i have been working on 420As for about 6years now.
the car in the video that i posted is my 420a dsm and also have a first gen that was almost 700whp. i put down 308whp and 305ftlbs at 16psi and said ONLY IF SOMEONE IS WILLING TO PUSH THE ENVELOPE AND HAVE A GOOD TUNER!!
i have the portfueler from hahn with the 500cc injectors and a garrett t3t4 with a star manifold, intercooler is custom in house. any other questions i will be happy to reply.
OBVIOUSLY THESE CARS CAN HANDLE MORE THAN ALOT OF PEOPLE THINK.

Just curious, I was in vegas about a year ago (memorial day weekend 05), and just wanted to know how close to Sonic Burger is your shop, or how far off the strip. I visited a couple of shops around there, but most of them charged too much compared to what I'd get in WA. I'm almost certain I never made it by your shop, but if I plan another road trip down there I might have too.

I did however go a a shop that looks like yours in a warehouse district at night once, with a guy and girl that drove a camo'd/bullet holed civic. And there shop space looks kind of like yours in the photo on your website.

Ok so your saying hahn is a liar and a stock 420a car can run 11's with a stock short block and properly tuned stage 2 kit? Is that correct because its what you said if i read correctly.

Bottom line of the shortblock is that you are dead wrong and please stop spreading bad info. Properly tuned the 420a is good for 300hp at the crank. This has been proven by Hahn Racecraft and Bill has a lot more R&D into the platform than you sir.

Who are you on 2GNT?

i dont have a stage 2 kit from hahn and i made 308whp which is about 350ish to the crank if not more on a stock longblock, so what is that telling you, not saying they dont know there stuff but if nobody pushes the envelope then nobody will find out how much one of these can take!! sorry if i made you mad that someone has done this!!
watch the video and like ive told others make the money right and you can stand right above me while i take the motor apart to prove to you that the motor is COMPLETELY STOCK!!!

Another thing to note is that hahn, might have pushed the envelope, but after months of R&D they concluded that their stage 2 "bolt on kit" would best be served at a certain boost pressure without tuning and with using things they could control on everycar they put a kit on.

So hahn recommended this..................

He did this................

He's got his own shop, and time to tune and retune and work on all the dsm's he wants. He just so happend to tune one, that is pushing out 308whp, and runs hella fast at the track.

My question is to you sir, you used 500cc injectors as secondaries, I'm asuming you used stock injectors for primarys? And did you have to alter hahns settings from the porterfuler, and if so about how many hours? just curioius?

I am not mad, but without a dyno sheet i dont believe the 308whp. Last guy who claimed numbers on 2GNT and failed to post a Dyno got banned, then when he did post it he was about 60whp off and not in his favor either. From your posts on 2GNT it looks like you havent been boosting 16psi very long. Most motors fail after they have been boosted 10psi+ afterr a year or so of daily boosting. There is a big difference in claiming our motors will handle Xpsi reliably or Xpsi short term. My short block before pulled was boosted to a 30psi spike twice when doing pulls on the highway. I never claim the motor hold 30psi though, and yes my fuel system will hold stable to 30psi.

Until i see dyno sheets I dont believe you.

Your kidding right? Have you ever seen Hahns out of the box Map? or read about it? Randy you argue he has all this ability to tune then you ask him if he tuned the car?

Hey terry sorry to get off topic but. The megasquirt you built for me with my fuel setup which is in my mod list I should be able to squeeze a 30psi dyno pull with my new garret .57trim. I think I have the parts but I don't want to blow up either.

So if im not mistaken most turbo 2gnt's are in the mid to low 14's with the exception of one or two in the 12's. What does Hahn's talon do these days.

Yeah I'm with Terry on this one. 16psi on a stock block for a long period of time really shouldn't be reliable, and putting down the 1/4 as stated. Mid 12's on a stock block? Thats pretty far out there. I'll be lucky to see that myself on a fully built block.

No I haven't read too much about hahn's porterfuler system, but I do know they have a couple of upgrades for there stage 4 and stage 5 kits, and I really wanted him to prove or show what he did differently then hahns years of research.

I watch the video, and I read what he wrote, but like you I am skeptical as hell, a dyno sheet is definatley needed, but I think an explanation of what he did to tune it would be nice too, if he clamied to be using a porterfuler system, what did he do different from hahn?

And no I wasn't claming he has all this ability to tune, I just wanted him to show out what he actually did.

I'm holding up my bullshit flag too terry, I guess I wasn't waving it high enough, but I'm right there with ya.

yes i used the stock injectors and the 500cc secondaries, if you call hahn they will tell you they dont set it up to run perfect, when i first got it they set it really conservative as they said they would and told us we would have to fine tune it. we spent about 6 to 8 hours on the dyno going from 9psi to 12psi to 14 to 16psi final. so i would say a good two hours would be needed to get a real good 11:8.1 to 12:0.1 afr line.
im not trying to battle with hahn or your opinion of hahn <--- simply put.

PS I DRIVE MY CAR EVERYDAY FROM HOME TO WORK FROM MY GIRLS WORK, GROCERIES ETC AND IM NOT NICE TO IT EVER.

I am not debating track time. Most 2gnt'ers dont have much track experience. To doubt a 1/4 in the 12's on stock compression...i would question it but not argue it. Remember the stock compression is 9.6:1. Higher compression doesnt need as much boost to create the same HP. Also higher compression will result in lower EGT's as well. The side effect is the motor will be prone to knock drastically the higher compression you go.

Tunign the Portfueler is pretty easy and the maps Hahn gives you are not exactly specific to your car. They are fairly rich to provide safety, hahn isnt going to give you a lean map then have you blame him for your lack of tuning. Hahns setup is slightly different than the kit you buy. Tuning and small items are also figured in. Last i checked hahn had broken into th 10's with the portfueler and nitrous. With the turbo bill runs he needs the nitrous to keep the turbo spooled. A standalone would allow you to do the same with fuel and not nitrous.

The downside to the 8 injector setup is you can only make so many runs before your maps will go lean and the motor heatsoaks. This has been proven by Tim97rs on 2gnt. He was only able to make 10 runs in th hot summer before his map began to lean out dangerously. The Split Second or E034 do not have any compensation for temperature and the factory ECU cant adjust enough.

Sorry to go off topic but its kinda related.

Green you can run up to 30psi with the 3 bar sensor.

There have been roughly 5 members if i recall correctly that have run our rods to 19psi. the weak spot in the factory motor are the pistons. Some motors dont last that far but some have. As stated tuning is important and critical.

My opinions have been stated and remain unchanged

Terry, do you know if Hahn used slicks for their stage 1 and 2 track runs or were they using street tires? I know when he posted his timeslip on 2gnt he had 1.8 60' times, which are awesome. That could be one factor as to why he was so much faster then hahn. Also that he is running 16 psi instead of 8-10 like Hahn. I dunno, there is really no point in arguing though since we can never know if that is a stock engine for sure, only he does.

Street tires and the numbers for those stages were on the FMU setup you get with the kit. Those numbers were geared towards another fuel system. They were designed to give the buyer some sort of idea what the kit would perform with an experienced driver. Hell the PF wasnt even endorsed by hahn. Technically Hahn just coppied the principal that many 2GNTers were already doing. Now the numbers of Hahns car itself are with slicks and many other things.

I'd say most people with stock engines that are boosted are running mid to high 14's with a few that have reached low 14's. Anyone with a built block and 440's or better easily has the power to run 13's or better but most don't have the proper suspension setups along with no traction. Even still it seems that without the traction people can fairly easily hit high 13's on a built bottom end.

Yeah this should be true, however I like to run full interior and subs just like I do on the street, and I can't get my 60'fts down for sh*t.

Oh and thanks terry for that explanation, it helped alot.
