running with Tanabe GF210, Tokico blues, and Hankook Ventus 225/40/18 on Racing Hart C2 evos...runs way smoother than with my old cheap R1 coilovers and stock shocks...love the height that the GF210 gives...it is rated at about 1 in the front and .75 in the rear...awesome

anybody have skunk2's? lookin for some opinions. looking to do skunk2 coilovers and tokico illuminas. let me know! thanks

my friend bought some cheap coil overs on ebay and then tokiko(or whatever the hell the name is !) struts. when me and him went to put them on the coil overse didnt fit at all and we spent countless hours sanding and grinding them to fit, but the exspensive struts fir perfectly ;-) it did get rid of his fender gap but it doesnt ride well and he bought eibach springs and replaced them.

goldline springs 2" drop. they werent too rough, but i havent driven with my body kit yet and its probably going to be too low

My buddy had Skunk2 coilovers and tokico blues and he absolutely hated them. The ride was too bumpy and it creaked like a mofo. But i see that you are going with a better shock so maybe your results will differ.

Tein Type Flex. Just got back from Thunderhill (a local race track- not 1/4 mile track) and they were amazing.

Hey everyone I just got a set of coil-overs for my 2G AWD at their full height they dropped the car 1.5", I am still using my stock struts, (car is not a daily driver) my problem is when cruising on the highway _most_ bumps it handles just fine but the ones that would usually just bump (before the install) now just about knock my fillings out. Their doesnt seem to be much problem with it "bouncing" but I have not driven it that much since installing them. BTW. The spring rates are 500lb/inch front, 400 rear. Is this spring rate just way to much for my car??? From what I read most people complain about the ride being bumpy rather than slamming bumps on the highway. P.S. I think my front struts are blown but I was told that will not affect the way my car slams into bumps, it would effect the "bouncing." My front struts: when I push the plunger down it stays where it is pushed until I pull it back up(out of car). When I jack the car up it sucks the tire back up so it is tight with the coil-over, I have to push the tire down and hold it to re-adjust the coil-overs. Any thoughts??? Thanks in advance!

Tein Flex W/Pillowball mounts, 19" RacingHart CR Muti-Piece with ParadaSpec2's, and Matrix F&R Strut bars....dont know how it rides yet...car finally comes out of the shop tomorrow after 2 months of being transformed into a monster.

Tein flex.

Bucks like a bronco.

No more sipping coffee from the travel mug.

Any more opinions on the Skunk2's??? I'm looking to get a set of coilovers this week. The Skunk2's aren't too badly priced.

tokico illum. all around, sprint springs up front, matrix coilovers at back. Handles like crap especially since my shocks are dead.

I used to have illuminas and sprints all around, which I felt were soft and not very sporty. Got the matrix coilovers for $60, but only the rear would fit. This stiffened up the rear a lot, but made the ride harsh over freeway expansion joints.

... after driving my bro's mini cooper I'm now saving for tein or jic :D

I have GC coils with KYB AGX shocks. Honestly, I'm not really impressed with the ride or the handling but there is probably a number of reasons my ride is so ridiculously hard and still has a ton of body roll- 1. the coils are lowered pretty much all the way (what can I say? I love the SLAMMED look on 1Gs), 2. I'm convinced that my stock susp. bushings shit the bed a long time ago so I'll be replacing them with Energy ones very soon, 3. I have no sway bars and only a front strut bar which is crap- I'm in the market to get new quality strut bars, and really nice sway bars. I also had 18" wheels on the car with 225/40/18 tires, which may have contributed to the rough ride as well. I've since taken the wheels off to sell them and I haven't driven the car with the stockers back on yet so I can't comment on how much of an impact my tire/wheel setup had on the roughness of my ride. Most people will tell you that the GC/AGX setup is one of the best available for 1Gs though, so it may just be my luck...LOL.
