It came out of the eco power switch and I think it’s blown but I can’t find a replacement online or any info.

It says T.S.D. and 038 on the bottom. Base is rubber.

@steve ? Anybody?

The part number is MB281998, if that’s of any help.

It does help, it appears you can still get it from japan but for probably something like $25 shipped. Not out of the question, but a little more steep than I want.

Upon inspection, it looks like it's your average 3.8mm bulb that has the leads wrapped around the rubber base. You press it into the power/eco switch, and two terminals make contact with the leads of the bulbs.

So what I'm gonna do is order these.

They're 3mm 12v bulbs, just regular incandescent ones. I'm gonna try to remove the bulb from the rubber base, and see if I can squeeze these in and wrap the leads like the other bulb has. If I can recreate it, I'll post more about it. The cool thing is they make 3.7mm LEDs with leads like this as well, so if this works you can even upgrade to LEDs!

In the meantime if someone stumbles upon the actual like name/style of this bulb with the rubber base, hit a brotha up.

Update: so far it’s looking really good on being able to replace this bulb with an off the shelf bulb.

Was able to easily remove the bulb and the attached leads from the rubber base. And you can see where you wrap it back in fairly straightforward. I’m happy with this. Bulb is definitely 3-3.7mm wide. Run of the mill bulb.

Call me nerdy but this is exciting. Love small stuff like this! Updates when the bulbs come in. I miss radio shack in moments like these. :( I could just go down and snag a bulb right now.

Edit - for posterity’s sake this is where the rubber bulb attaches. The two copper posts make contact with the leads. Kind of ingenious. Not gonna lie.

Great news, this 100% is the replacement. I'll do a full write up if people want it, but in the meantime here's what I did.

OEM bulb vs Amazon(or whatever future equivalent) 3mm 12v replacement bulb linked above.

Identical. And the new bulb has ever so slightly thicker leads which is good.

It fits into the rubber pad extremely easily, and you wrap the wire just like the OEM bulb was wrapped. I did this with my fingers, with perfect results.

After that, snip off the excess and voila! OEM replacement bulb, and I have like 19 more bulbs to do this 19 more times. Lol.

And finally, let's test it out!

Lights on?

Yay! Matches OEM color too, and it's bright enough to actually see it on during the day.

Fixed it completely for $7 and some change. Hope this helps someone in the future!

This also apparently is the same exact bulb(even down to the rubber bottom piece) for Mazda Miata dashboard/gauge cluster lights. So yeah. Woo.
