What is this????? & Sputtering

My car is sputtering above ~3k rpms (no matter what amount of throttle)
I'm searching for answers but no luck so far.

It started doing this to me today, I just installed a new vehicle speed sensor last night and thought maybe I accidently bumped/ unplugged something.
Today I found this:

Plugs are gapped at correct distance, plugs are ~2 weeks old
Wires?
But yeah, what is this thing?

(just unplugged the wire from there it attaches to the harness before taking pic)

I had a car doing the same thing. Checked everything. ended up being the plug wires.

That is a noise filter I believe, it needs to be plugged in!

Electrical Noise filter WTF
Really?
My car is so damn loud (and has been since I bought it ~1 month ago) because it has an open dp (guy cut it right before it connects to the CB)

Just changed the oil (been meaning to) and no luck on that (duh)

I guess I need to solder it back together, but no gun or solder

And don't know if its relavent, I've been loosing coolant for ~ a week now (goog amount) ever since they put my tranny in.
I THINK its coming from somewhere around the rear drvers side part of the engine (judging by spots on ground) and when I got under the car couldn't find anything.

(Can't remember if its in my profile buy I know SOMEONE will ask so:
1997 gsx man
~107k chasis
~4,500 on 6 bolt w/ Ross Pistons, Eagle rods (guy said everything was cleaned, and new gaskets installed)
~4,500 on alternator
FMIC
MBC -15lbs
intake
~1250 miles on Act 2600
~500 on TRE stage 2 Tranny
SAFC
BOV


I am throwing codes for
multiple misfires
O2 sensor heater (open DP)
So whats the verdict?

Like I said, change the plug wires, I had the same CEL codes on a car I worked on

Replaced wires, no good.
Can't seem to solder very well........... going to junk yard for "noise filter"
Still doing the same thing
Also found the coolant leak (can't remember if I mentioned that, but its the water pump )
Oh, and now my ebrake won't full release.
And.............
Clutch still engages too close to floor (blead it 3 times, adjusted the screw as much as possible, and even bought that damn slave cylinder extension rod. It's goota have something to do with the step hight of the clutch)
ANy other suggestions (yes I'm searching, but since I was already typing )

I had missfires before too. I did see that you have a 6-bolt, what cas do you have? Heres a link to my other thread to test to see if your ISC is going bad. ISC Test

The misfires went away once I installed my SAFC II, TPS, ISC but I still have a little idle surge though.

Best way to cure your 6 bolt in a 2g problem is get a DSMLINK. I had those annoying misfires and idle surging. Once I installed the DSMLINK, it has an option to tell the ECU to not to check for misfires and simulate idle screw which makes the car idle perfect at whatever RPM you set your idle at in the DSMLINK options. Your car from than all will run perfect without any problems with drivability. It will run like you had the 7 bolt still in there.
