What is this, and where does the other line go?

Ok, when i replaced my starter i noticed this part i found was missing a vacuum line. Can anyone help me and let me know what this is and where does the missing line go? Thanks

i believe its the charcoal canister..i was once told...
95-97 FWD - charcoal canister under battery
98-99 FWD - charcoal canister in gas tank
95-97 AWD - charcoal canister under battery
98-99 AWD - charcoal canister in driver side of front bumper

just so you know you can remove that canister it wont effect the way it runs i removed mine runs the same
its just a carbon canister

Yes, charcoal canister. Many people rip all this out if they aren't worried about emissions.

did you use any vacuum caps?

im sure you can just vacuum cap that end, or just remove the line and cap it at its source.

Does anyone know where the vacuum lines lead to? Intake Manifold?

goes to the intake pipe. . . there are two nipples on the inside of the intake pipe one line goes to the valve cover but most ppl cap it off and put a breather or an oil catch can . . . and the other nipple the line goes to that can under the battery that u are talking about

If you rip it out you will fail emissions and maybe a CEL!

You can take it out out just leave all the solenoids plugged in.
