Should I keep my stock intake manifold or is there another manifold that is popular for the 2g guys like myself. thanks
A good upgrade for you if you plan on running a 2g head is getting an Evo III IM. I have one and I love it, they are alittle hard to find but if you live on ebay or the classifieds here for a few weeks one will pop up.Evo III Intake Manifold

EDIT Damn Brian beat me to it, but yea heres a link to the thread he told you to search for anyway. :)

You can also call up RRE and ask if they still have their extrude honed 2g IM. Its been in their Garage Sale page of the website for years. The last time I was up there I was digging through crap on their shelves and I found the thing, it does look amazing internally but on the outside it looks like an OEM 2g IM.

Heres the link to pictures of it, you just have to scroll down to Intake to see it. 2g Extrude Honed IM by RRE

How in the world would weapon r make more hp than magnus, jmf, driven innovations, forrester, and dvdtfab?
JMF Street, Race or Drag SMIM is what I would go with. I had the street and before that had the magnus. I would take JMF any day over magnus.

Still, I would hold off until you're really pushing the evo316g or at least for a SMIM.
Agreed. You can spend your $700 elsewhere and get more bang for your buck. I'm at 350 awhp on a street tune, should be at 400 once it gets up on the dyno and the Evo III IM is doing just fine. Your going to be right around 300hp and your stock 2g IM won't do you any good replacing until after the 400hp mark.

Weapon R is said to have to most HP gain. I had a friend who did every kind of DSM intake manifold on a flow bench. I'll try and find his results

Weapon R is a 'ricer' material brand for Honduh peeps.

Like Gamble97 said, they are other prominent fabricators like JM Fab, Magnus, DVDTFAB, Redline, etc... that do more research & developement. That's why the have street, race and drag manifold and it all count on the flow rate of the turbo and the rest of your setup to determine what can accommodate you the best.
