Just bought a 20g, and purchasing dsmlink today, i have a built 2.3 motor, stock cams, vrsf fmic, open dump o2 housing, full 3inch exhaust, afpr, and wally 255. the last piece to the puzzle will be injectors. What size would be reccomended? im figuring 750s to 1000cc. but would like to hear thoughts. not going bigger in the future. this is my dd and it might see some light track duty.

Well I want to push it just not blow it up...LOL Im not going bigger after this.like i said this is my dd and i dont want to get too crazy.1000cc just seem like they would be overkill, for the car and on the wallet

thanks for the link. i read it and according to that 850s will be perfect my 20g. Im not going bigger than that and i dont want to over run my 20g so 850s would be my best option correct?

No. 850's will only be good for maxing out your setup on pump gas. If you ever want or think you might go with E85, and since you have link, go with something that will support your setup with E85, and can also be tuned to work with pump gas. I would go with a set of 1250's if I were you. They can be fully tuned by link to work with either pump or E85, and will work equally well with a good tune for either pump gas or E85.

Like i said. Im not going bigger i dont want to run e85 now or in the future, so 850s will be perfect for what i want.thanks for the heads up though

i would agree with 750's or 850's for driveability and idle quality for your said needs...

I am in the same boat as the OP, I am NEVER going to run E85. I also have 850's and dsmlink. Knowing what I know, I'd get 1250's if I were to do it all over again. If you are tuning with link like you say you are going to, there is realistically absolutely no difference between them EXCEPT you have the option to retune and run E85 IF YOU WANT TO. Why wouldn't you want an extra option, if it costs you nothing in driveability or tuneability, for pretty much the same price? Everybody knows how the "I'm never going to go bigger" upgrade path goes....used parts sold later for a loss to fund a bigger build, LOL....ask me how I know. If you truly do want to go as big as you'll ever need, 1250's will do more for you than 850's and once they are in and tuned, you'll never know the difference....unless you decide you hate knock and love boost, and realize that E85 is great for remedying those problems.

A 20G can flow a more than that. Im about to pick up my built 20G that flows 52 lbs at 25 PSI. I have 750's right now on my 14B with 50 psi base pressure which makes them look like 880's roughly. I run E85 also, About to find out how itll run with the 20G. Once my idle was tuned out for deadtimes she ran much better than the stock 450's. You can find 750's for a decent price. I payed 275 plus shipping brand new off the classifieds. just look around. You can find them for good prices

If you want to run more power later. Get bigger injectors. If you don't, as he said above, get 750's or 850's. Easy enough.

"I would stay way away from 1000's or 1600's. That is way overkill and the driveability and idle quality are way less than 750's or 850's... I would go with 850's personally."

This is the wrong mindset and disinformation for someone using link. Link can tune far bigger injectors than you are giving it credit for. No idle issues with 1250's. Plan for the inevitable HP bug, LOL.

What is a "built" 20g? Is that more than a 20g compressor wheel and a td05 turbine?

I am assuming that it is a td05 turbine with a 20g wheel, td05 20g, because they are the most common street turbo. Jus bring up a good point here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/425629-billet-compressor-wheels.html#post152859523

Flowing more than 49lbs might happen with a different turbine wheel, I am completely sure of that, but I think at 49lbs this turbo is maxed out.

MHI 20G. Got a friend in PA that builds them. Missed out on his that he sold but hes building me one right now. And yes its with a tdo5h housing. he does not use a billet wheel. Not sure where he gets his wheels. If I can come across a GM maf translator for cheap ill figure out what she flows. But he flowed 52 on calibrated GM MAFT before he went SD

Because i dont want to. Ive spent enough money on my car and i want to enjoy it. that will be on my tombstone.;) where i live its just not functional for me to run e85. oh and if 1250s are all you ever need why do they make 1650s... :D

I think it depends on the power range you want to make there is a dusk injector calculator on rx engineering website my car made 380 whp with a stock motor and 750cc with a 255 and injectors were almost tapped out at like 88% from what I was told so if you wanna have a high horsepower toy and dd it you will have to get bigger injectors to safely make the power and as long as you aren't revving very high you will not notice the high boost you have it tuned on and when Everett guy need to get over on the interstate you will have no issues passing someone beside you
