I bought a FMIC from someone and the j-pipe he gave me is somewhere between a 1.75'' and a 2'' and I need to find a 45degree coupler to connect the jpipe to the pipe going to the front mount. I have a coupler that is 1.75" on one end and 2'' on the other and neiter of the sizes fit the j-pipe I have. The ISD of the j-pipe seems to be 1/8 bigger then 1.75'', could I get a 1.75'' coupler and strech it?

Use some muscle and get it over, because there is no size in between, at least not without special order.

Bert Reynolds would have it over no problem... Come on now.. Think with your dipstick, Jimmy!

Anyway, on a serious note, if you're struggling to get it over and coming on here with this question, wow. Step away from the car and have someone do the work for you.

I actually have to buy one since I didn't get one with the IC setup I bought and a random 1.75 coupler I have appears to be to small so I will get a 1.75 and strech it. Thanks for the suggestion on letting someone else handle it but I think I will stick to working on my car myself. I was going to go with the 1.75 but I don't wan't to buy one and wait 5 days to find out it's to small when I get it when I could just come on here and ask what appears to be a noob question. This is obviously the 1st FMIC I have put on a vehicle and I was thinking there might be something inbetween in mm that I wasn't finding. This is a homemade j-pipe and it appears I'm really going to have to strech it to get the 1.75 over it, I tryed forcing it. Thanks everyone that answered seriously. I think 96awd needs to step away from his car to have someone show him how to set his headlights correctly.

Put that end of the coupler in some water heated on the stove. This will increase its pliability and allow fitment with minimal distortion and stress. Use a lubricant on the pipe and wear gloves.

If the coupler is simply too small for the pipe than go up a step in size. Stretching it excessively, then repeatedly stressing it is asking for couple failure. So just use your best judgement and you'll be fine.

Should I? Lol. I know how to set my headlights. I also know how to work on a car and not ask n00b questions. :tease: :thumb:
