IC pipe size change after GM MAFT ok?

Is anyone using the 3 inch GM MAF with a 2 1/2" upper IC pipe with a 2g TB elbow?

I was planning on hooking the MAF to the TB elbow with a 2 1/4" silicone adapter and a short piece of pipe (like 4 inches long), but I'm not sure if having smaller pipe after the MAF compared to the bigger IC pipe before it will mess up the readings or not.
I have a ported 2G TB elbow, so it's about 2 1/4" ID compared to the 2 1/2" ID pipe that's right before the MAF.
