I did a search on how to make custom hard piping for a stock side-mount intercooler on a 1g. I didn't find anything I was looking for. I've heard of people making their own hard piping but don't know EXACTLY what they used. (w/ least amount of air restriction, duh) Any help would be appreciated... :)

Thanks,
Jordan

I personally don't know of anyone who has used either of those methods. Most people I know usually just fork over the $125-$150 for a vendor UICP. Anyway, you can always Private Message the guys who wrote up those Tech Articles and ask them. Their names are on the posts. I would stick with the method I posted above, because it will look better than the other.

Buy some aluminum bends. Cut them and tape them together. Take them to a welder and have them welded. Steel pipe is a lower cost option. RRE has about the best price on aluminum U-bends.

I have tried it, after all, I did write it. And yes it works very well. Just as good as any vendor UICP, just not as pretty looking, but you could make it look like anyone elses with more time put in it.

I got my bends from JCwhitney. RRE does have good prices aswell and so does Summit(sp?).

I have pics of it installed in my gallery, check em out. If you need any questions answered then feel free to pm me.
