Ok so its my birthday today and the family got me a computer car designer and I couldnt resist, had to give it a try LOL so here's my version of what I think the next generation eclipse should look like. it's kinda crappy but I thought hey what the heck, why not? Feel free to flame away. by the way everybody since it is december, merry
CHRISTMAHAHNIQUANZICA! :D

Reminds me of an s2000 with an angeled windshield.

Its cool tho.

I think they should make them just like the 2g's again XD

yeah, this is a first attempt and like 20 minutes. the program is "called Sports Car Designer" not sure where they got it from. like noon said the back is deff. missing something, just couldnt figure out how to get it worked out.

and lofty, the reason the 3g's and up are so ugly is because the mits. engineers are smoking crack!
they even dropped the turbo 4g63. when i first heard that I was like WTF ?

They were smoking crack too. But have you guys seen the 4g ralliart concept? For a 4g, its still pretty sexy

I actually talked to the guy who designed all of the eclipses at the Motown M.O.D. and he said that the eclipse will never ever be anything like the first 2 generations. It will always be some form of front wheel drive fail.

You know how American car companies (which fail) LOL, went retro with the mustang, camaro, charger and challenger?

Mitsubishi should start that in Japan

Looks good. However in real life it would be fun fitting an engine under that hood.

Front looks like a 350z (which by the way they remade into the 370z and looks like a mini skyline now) and the back just needs a little more.

The new 09 eclipse, IMO, is the closest thing to a turbo 2gb style-wise. They won't make another turbo eclipse due to the fact that they think the EVO sales will drop. Think about it, a car with a strong 4cyl turbo motor for half the price? Yeah, they won't be doing that again.

I say the new Eclipse could use the 2G treatment again. I still think, even after all these years that the 2GB body style looks like it could be from 2007 seeing as it has aged nicely. The interior would need to be updated, but other than that, keep it the way it is maybe even just adding a targa top option or full glass roof. Make 4 different models. A hardtop GS with the N/A motor, a spyder with an NA motor, a Spyder with an FMIC and AWD (Turbo model) and a hardtop GSX with FMIC *The turbo cars should just be all wheel drive.

I think keeping the NA's FWD, while turning all turbo models into AWD would boost sales of the cars. Styling cues could be different for both models as well.

You could start out the NA models around the same prices that the Scion TC go for (They do it with full options btw) and the turbo models around where the stock WRX is priced at. I think a boosted Eclipse would be a better sale than the watered down Evo Ralliart they have for sale now. (I have nothing against the GSR and MR models btw)

What do you guys think?

Looks like a Toyota MR front, S2000 sides, Lambo windshield and a Solstice rear with 2g Eclipse tail lights. Looks good though. I bet that program's fun as heck.
