What else do I need after I get this engine?

i would suggest looking at other vendors also because you can get a comprable engine for less from other places. Check maperformance.com and jackson auto machines

Read the reviews on here about dsm graveyard and you might rethink getting a motor from them. I personally have never had a problem with them except for them taking a while to ship things, but i also have never bought a motor from them.

I think he wants a built motor.

I want a engine that can make 450hp without straining itself an that can last a long time. But idk what else i NEED if i get this engine. Since m new to dsm's idk what the parts of it's engine are.

rebuilt stock 6 bolt with a 16g dsmlink with e85 on 1000cc injectors 20 to 25psi. with supporting mods fuel pump fuel pressure regulator and your gonna need a better clutch and a wideband. if your only asking 450 that should put right in the ball park without breaking your pocket for cash

There is no way you will make 450whp on a 16G. 400whp if you're LUCKY. They dont flow enough air volume.

Ross pistons, eagle rods, arp hardware, 6 bolt 4G63 with a balanced crank, A cylinder head built to with stand 8000+rpm safely, ECMLink V3, FIC 1450cc injectors, E85, Holset HX35W with a dsm bolt on housing, 23-30psi, dual wally 255s or a higher flowing single pump, AFPR, ARP L19 headstuds, MLS head gasket, Punishment racing 3.5" FMIC kit, FP4R cams, Wideband, a quartermaster twin disk clutch, and a shep stage 2 trans.

With the above and a few odds and ends I may have missed(oil feed and drain fittings, etc.) You will have a PERFECTLY reliable 400-500whp 2G. You'll have full spool around 3600rpm too.

I really have no clue what any of that means LOL. Im very new to dsm's and im just trying to gather info before I jump into this. if you could explain a little more in depth of what really those things are that would be helpful. Right now i am still doing research of my own.

fmars62 you can listen to who you want but do some research on this forum and you'll see you dont need a built motor for what you want. if you plan on going for a high number build it. p.s. get a jack built tranny i personally think there better. just giving you options

i know thats why i said im still doing research idk what to do with a dsm but hopefully with research and with some help and support from you guys on this site i will get a dsm build it and join you

Dsm tyson is trying to say you can get 4-500hp on a stock rebuild..Throw in some aftermarket cams with e85 and bam..You have hit the mark..On a stock motor, with rebuild but you can say you hit that on a stock motor..

Are you looking for a built motor or to build a motor?

Are you looking for a built motor or to build a motor?

I really want to get new everything, I would like to buy a 6 bolt 4g63t engine kit where it comes with all of the pieces of the engine and then all i need to do is assemble it, but i really cant find that anywhere, so thats why i was asking about a new complete motor. also i want to get a kit so when i build it i learn about my engine.

Get yourself a 6 bolt block, 2g 97-99 head and build yourself a engine. Use OEM 2g pistons with 1g 6 bolt rods and ARP rod bolts. You will need to get the engine machined to use the ARP rod bolts, keep that in mind. As for the rest of the neccessary parts, use all OEM parts- timing belt, timing belt tensions, waterpump, etc. and you will have yourself a reliable 450-500whp car for alot less than that motor you are thinking of buying. For your turbo setup, I would use a PTE5530. It will easily net you 400-450whp reliably as long as you use the proper oil drain tube, regular oil changes and proper cooling after hard runs. Hope this helps

Buy a 4g63,tear it down, get it machined if need be, and reassemble it..That would be the easiest way to learn..

Otherwise buying a whole engine might be the right thing to do until you can find one..To disassemble and build..

There was just a new vendor that got on tuners that was offering built motors for cheap..I can't remember who they were..Damm, why can't I remember who they were..

Good for you! :thumb: But 362 is not 450.. It would be much much easier with an HX35, assuming he's not looking for a challenge.

As far as I can tell, he seems like he wants this motor to last for a long time. And a built motor will last much longer than a stock rebuild if you are running 450whp daily. Will the stock motor hold up? Of course, its been done over and over, but it WILL wear out much faster and most likely break more shit. Whereas a built motor at that power level would take it with no complaints whatsoever.

Strictly Import Motorsports? They have the best deals right now... That i've seen anyways.

Well, Then I would suggest reading A LOT of information on this site and doing the maintenance on your car yourself, before you start modding. Thats the quickest way to learn the basics.

Take stuff a part, pay attention, and put it back together. Buy a service manual and read/skim through it.

You'll get it :thumb:.
