What does white marks at the bottom of the turbo/gaskets mean?

What gasket are you talking about exactly? White on exhaust could mean it got really really hot so possibly a cooling issue?
 
I don't know enough about turbos themselves to identify what I am trying to say. :cry:

Well what is on the other side of the gasket? Like the turbo is on one side and then you have the gasket and then you have????
