I know what turbo does and everything but I got a question that needs to be answered. When you are looking a turbos online and it says, for example, 550hp is that how much your car will have after the install? And when you buy a turbo does it come with all the necessities or do you still have to buy some parts?

Thanks for all the help and my knowledge will now be better.

P.S. should i buy other parts before a turbo like exhaust, etc...? or should I do other stuff to my engine before installing a turbo?

If you have a non turbo engine, your compression will be too high to run a bigger turbo. Stock N/T talons have a 9.5:1 compression while Stock Turbo talons have 7.5:1 compression. Just bolting up a turbo will not work. there are several other parts that you will need to get your engine ready for a turbo.

Yea I figured you did need new parts. What are some of them parts?

Well, usually when the turbo has a horsepower rating, that means that is what it can handle at its peak efficiency point with supporting modifications. You WILL NOT simply get 550 hp from just installing the turbo.

Mostly, when you purchase a turbo, you get nothing else. Just the turbo. You will need to buy the parts to install it in either an install kit, or gather what you need yourself. Typical things included to buy a new turbo our an exhaust manifold (if the turbo's exhaust inlet flange is different then you manifold), an oil feed line, and oil return line, coolant lines, and intercooler piping. This differs however, and more or less things may be needed.

well since your non turbo you don't necessarily have to change pistons out to run lower compression to turbo plenty of people don't, if you want bigger horsepower numbers and run higher boost you gotta have the higher mods to handle it like fuel/pistons they also offer kits out there for turboing your na such as treadstone and hahn . hope that answered some of your questions fill out your profile so we can answer your questions a little better also
