What does this code mean??

I went to autozone today for my check engine light. I found out the code is po170. What would cause this code. The car seems to run fine and I cannot hear any leaks at all. The car gets bad gas mileage (17 mpg average). I have replaced the EGR valve and now The car sometimes has a high idle when started and put into park. The car doesnt blow any smoke or anything. Any help is greatly appreciated.
