ok quick question. What does the connector plug for the oil pressure switch look like? Mine broke off and I can seem to find out what it looks like anywhere. If anybody could post pics that would be awesome thanks

Yeah, if it's just the switch for the idiot light it should just be a single spade terminal which goes on a switch like this.

Sorry should of told u what car I have. I have I 93 eclipse gst. I totaled the one in my pic. And my other question am I able to run my car with out the oil pressure gauge and the switch or is it a bad idea

the oil pressure connectors are the same on 1g and 2g. if you can get 1 of them to connect at all or have an aftermarket oil gauge. really it will not hurt anything to not have the oil switches but if oil pressure goes away you will not know it. the switch for the dummy light is 15$ from a parts store and better then having nothing at all.

:ohdamn: :nono: Those are the only way of telling if your engine has enough oil pressure... I wouldn't want to take away both of them. :|

Sorry about all of the oil in the picture, that has been fixed but here is what the connector looks like:

This is for the GAUGE not the idiot light. It is basically a female slide connector but insulated. The peg on the bottom of the sender is USUALLY a upside down T and the slide connector just slips onto it. I have seen one sender (aftermarket) that had a male slide connector on the sender but originals are an upside down "T" fitting that this slides onto. Hope it helps.

This, unless you have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge. I dont run either stock oil gauge/dummy light sensors.
