What do you think of this clutch?

We think that there may be a problem with the clutch or pressure plate of the car so wanted to get you guys opinion:
93 honda prelude FWD 4 wheel steer H22

Dosen't look too bad to me. No scaring or anything on the pp. I'd say it's good.

What are the symptoms? The pressure plate could have collapsed, you wouldn't be able to tell from looking at it.

well the car goes into gear but no matter what you do the tires will not spin or move.
and when the car is in gear the speedometer will register speed and you can spin the tires by hand and you hear a clicking noise

*Scratch that, if speedo registers speed I doubt the clutch being a problem

Check and make sure the diff is good.

Sounds more like the differential in the transmission is bad, or a bad axle. That clutch looks perfectly fine.

Slide the clutch disk onto the input shaft of the trans and check for play.

^^Exactly. Make sure the axle are all the way in. If it still happens then its the tranny thats causing the problem

Correct, if the axles are in all the way the problem lies elsewhere and probably isn't worth the time or money trying to hunt it down and I'd just replace the transmission if thats the case. The clutch setup looks fine to be honest with you.

Sounds like the dif from the symptoms had a similar issue on my car

Thats what I originally thought it was the differential gears slipped inside the tranaxle until we looked at the clutch but its good to be able to rule out the clutch
We will get more into checking the axles and diff and I will get back to you

My guess is, its the transmission.

well my brother thinks that he has figured it out that it is his clutch and slave cylinders are bad and misadjusted.
