Got to me before i could . yea put the ECS(electronic cutout system) http://blacktrax.net/ecut.html right after the downpipe. a few of my friends have it and its niceeeeee. wont get ticket for having a 4" tip or loudness and can still unleash the power with the touch of a button

The only thing about the cut-out is that a cop might look under and notice it. Even though they might not know what it is, they might still give you a ticket because a lot of them are asses like that.

I mean it's honestly a waste of money to put the 3" on and not run the muffler. It's likenbuilding a 1000hp car and tuning it to never go above 300. Do what you think...I mean how do those violations work?
Is it just like a citation that fines you?
impound your car?
take your license/+ points?
Just weigh the outcomes, if it's just a fine then I'd go for it. I have a external dump, full 3" and a straight pipe and I've never gotten a look. I don't have cops looking for trouble thought but as long as you don't drive like an A$$ then you should be good.

yes please post pics. i want exhaust on my car but i hate the coffee can look, and love the stock look... and wouldn't u be able to add these to the end of your muffler? not just replacing it with the tips
