I just recieved my gm maf in the mail and i wanted to know if it is worth it to buy the translator. I am asking because i already have the safc2. I know that if i put it between the bov and the TB that i can vent but that has nothing to do with it. I wont lie i dont have the best tuning ability cuz i wanna learn n do it all myself. i have my big 16g runnin at 10 psi OMG jus cuz im tryin to keep the reliability factor there. How would i tune the gm maf correctly for my setup or should i jus get the translator????? :talon:
 
You have to get the translator in order to run the gm maf.

It sounds like you should've done a little more research before opening up your wallet. Without the maf translator the gm maf is totally useless to you unless you wanted to put it in another gm vehicle. It doesn't matter if you have the s-afc 2, dsmlink, greddy e-manage, hks f-con, nothing will let you switch to the gm maf other than the maf translator. So yes you need to buy it.
 
To look at it the simpilist way, GM and Mitsu MAS read in different languages, one is in hz i beleive and the other is in something else, so what the translator does is take GM code and translates it to mitsubishi code.
