IM referring to the bolts. I didn't use any lube on them or antiseize.

I read the 1994 Service manual and it says to apply engine oil then then tq down. SO i will be removing the girdle and caps again, at least the rod caps.

But did any of you guys use lock-tite???? im just worried about anything coming loose on the bottom end.
 
if the manuel does say so, you should be fine without the locktite.

The lube on the threadsis so you get an acurate torque reading when you torque them down. A dry bolt will have more friction when tightening, thus reaching the specified torque earlier then it should, thus then having a looser then spec bolt.
