Ive been doing some searches but I havent came up with much. When would someone consider using a main girdle on a 1g? What kind of torque or horsepower numbers should one be worried about the caps fretting? I saw on their website that it was doing it on a car just under 600 horse. But what about 450-500? That is my goal and I'm wondering if I should just buy it.

Since its not much, it's good to have the extra insurance of a tighter bottom end by tieing the caps together.

That's 1 of the reasons why have one.

I havent seen it on 1gs, a lot of stock blocks are fine at 400hp, but i havent seen much about those things maybe thats why you cant find much about it.

What he said...

Whether its a 350HP or a 850HP build its good to stiffen up your block. Besides if the block is already torn apart why not.

Was it much grinding to do, to install it?

Mine and others I know that's used this didn't have to grind the 4G63 block but I hear of people having to with a G4CS block.
