yes.. i bought it without it don't ask me why it wasn't in there.. Theres too much stuff i need for the car to worry about that now.. The car is sitting waiting for a new turbo/front axle/intercooler/cams/new valve cover gasket/new intercooler piping... I know the last owner had a fmic on the car which means when he took it off he took off the intercooler piping for it.. put the old shit back in and there was no room for the airfilter so he left it out. dumb people

how can i recirculate the bov onto the intake valve?.. The car does run like shit whens it warms and up in high boost it starts popping, not backfiring.. The turbo i know though is shot, 4-5 leaks coming from it.

Except for the press-bent piping and other obvious things, it looks like you bought the car with some solid upgrades. (If you actually did all the modifications yourself, you should know what RV you have in the photo, unless this thread is a practical joke.) Why is the comressor bypass valve return tube off, and no filter before the MAS? Put an air filter on immediately. Also, check that battery - it doesn't look too healthy.

EDIT: Shit I'm slow. I should have been #5 for my post to make any sense. To make more room, just through that intercooler piping in the trash and get something better. With different piping, the BOV flange can (and most likely will) be in a different location. This new flange location will be in a more ideal spot to easily recirculate metered air.

Well if you look on your intake tube (the tube where your air filter goes) you will notice a round hole with a clamp around it and nothing in it. That hole needs to be connected with the big hole comming out of your BOV. You will need something called a J-pipe weither you make your own or buy one thats up to you but you need one. And please for all of us dsm lovers put an airfilter on that thing and recirculate your BOV or atleast plug the hole on the intake tube before you run it again.

That hole on your air intake is made for a peice of pipe that goes from there to the BOV. it recirculates it. Dont run it with an air filter either it is important to worry about. if you get that new turbo....no air filter suck something lets say a rock/pebble gets in there through the mas, and in to that new turbo. Now that new turbo is bad.

I agree with you on that now please stop driving it untell all maintenance is taken care of. No DSMers likes to see a good 6bolt go down due to bad maintenance. Try and find someone in your area to help you if you need it. Good luck man...

I overpaid for the car.. 6500 with 109k on it.. The car was supposedly good when i bought it it had a minor antifreeze leak thats all.. i drive it home and 15 miles later oil leak after oil leak.. Its a shame the engine was "supposedly" rebuilt 20k ago but i highly doubt it.

Blue= hose suppose to go from there to the BOV (same size hose)
Green Circle= Missing a bolt make sure its not stripped out
Green circle uptop with arrow= Vaccum leaks. for one remove the hose that makes a horseshoe. and cap off all of those ports up top

that sucks man good luck. put an air filter on that asap and also fix the stuff as said in the previos post drive it for a litle bit to let the engine relearn the fuel map and it should start running better. the blow off vavle not being recirculated will cause major runing problems.

Looks like you're going to have to fabricate a blowoff valve recirculation tube. It shouldnt cost much. About 10 bucks. GO to an autoparts store and get a flexible tubing and clamp it on tight.

It is hard to hear a blowoff valve vent when reving the engine while the car is parked because you cant build much boost. You have to actually drive car but i wouldnt suggest you do that now.

You need to get a dump tube for that stock intake pipe too. And as said by almost everyone, get an air filter before something big goes in that intake pipe and kills your turbo.

Please don't free rev your engine anymore trying to hear your BOV. You will not build any boost free reving and that is why you don't hear your BOV. All you are doing is hurting your engine.
