what boost can i run w/264/272 on stock 91 w/13g?

well i think im set on the dks 264/272's. im getting my headgasket replaced so im also going to get cams installed. i have a 91 auto so i have a 13g w/390 injectors. im at about 14 psi right now. how much should i turn down the boost? thanks
 
well im not sure how much hp my fuel setup can take. ill be going for around 350whp w/a e316g in a little while(ofcourse w/supporting mods) and cams will cost 20 bucks to do while the head is off. so ill just do it now. :D

if the cams give me 10 whp should i just turn the boost down 2psi or something? thanks
 
Listen to Zach. You have a small turbo with a limited fuel system. Cams are a good upgrade, but only when you need them. I would get at least a 14b turbo and a set of 450cc injectors before you start to mod seriously.

Like Zach said, at this point the cams are going to bump up your powerband to something you can't support.

listen to these guys but to answer your question noone can tell you get a logger

Well the stock 1g auto injector/turbo combo is about as weak as it can get(not to be rude or anything). Secondly if you want to put down 350whp in an auto awd you are going to need larger than a e316g, I do appreciate the fact that supporting mods are on your list of mods to do most people want to skip that step.

As for cams, cams only really make power on setups with larger turbos where cams would actually be utilized. A 13g is going to run out of steam way to early for cams to show any benefits. With that small of a turbo I wouldn't be surprised to see a loss in power. The cams will increase lag and cause the turbo to run out of steam even earlier than it already does which means even less top end power. First I would get a logger. Then an afc/injectors at the same time. Then figure out what turbo you want and go from there. Cams should be one of the last upgrades you do to your car.

Lastly whp does not directly relate to a certain number of psi. Different setups will yeild different gains at different boost levels. FWIW when we were tunnign my old 50 trim setup at 12 psi and 14 psi there was only a 25whp difference from 14psi to 16.5psi there was a 50whp difference.
 
is the combo going to make it really slow?

With race gas you could hit 350whp but you would be hard pressed to do it on pump gas. As for 300whp + nitrous sounds like a good plan to me. Good luck with everything.
