I just got my t-belt replaced a while back (3 mouths) and my Alternator belt just went out. . . this guy wants to charge me 350 to change the A-belt and the T-belt. . but i just change the t-belt. . . am I getting riped? OMG

yes you are getting ripped off, all he has to replace is the alternator belt and that shouldnt be more then 50$ all together

bahaha..parts are like $40 for a timing belt and $20 tops for the alternator belt...

The alternator belt is SEPARATE from the timing belt...if its close to anything its close to the serpentine belt.

Infact! We can all take turns calling and placing a report. Lets call the BBB! :)

You don't need help doing a alternator belt - if thats something that stands in your way - you've got bigger problems that will be facing you. Don't tell us you let him do the timing belt 3 months ago? OMG

Big rip. He most likely wouldn't even replace your timing belt, and just keep the extra belt. "Yeah I did it."

yeah thanks guys. . i would do it my self but I dont have the tools to get the belt on and off. . .plus am at school the whole day in San antoino and the car is in austin.
