mine was start it from 15.1 (K&N, exhaust) to 13.2 ( with down pipe, evo manifold, ls1 maf sensor, maf translator) still stock IC and 14b stock turbo.

i need to hear from some of you auto awd tsi 2gs.I just test drove a car the tracks aren't open and it ran a best of 16.3 at like 80 something mph forget and 2.6 or so 60fts.I tried stalling it up but it didn't seem to help it just bogged and seemed to run smooth but it was slow on the timer.I use a tazzo vpc i have taken it to track and it was close for et about 3mph high and right no for 60ft.

I am supposed to be buying a 96 awd turbo auto different from the one I test drove and am wondering if that 16.3 is typical and if that 60ft is typical of an auto car.I have a highly modded up 92 and likey will be transfering most of my goodies over to the other car.

I drove a 17.2 time with 2.6 60'. It was my first time in my new 99 AUTO gsx. I was boost leaking too slightly. Have you tried a boost leak test? Its all in the launch is what they say.

i ran 15.1 @ 91mph with just a turbo xs BOV and a fart can. i really babied the launches to. I'm pretty sure the bov was leaking 2 but who knows. ooh by the way it was a 95 talon tsi 5 speed with full interior

It's a shame that people have to specify "bone stock". It seems to me that stock implies "unmodified". That is, full weight, street tires, full interior, radio blaring, A/C running, wipers on, groceries in the trunk, talking on the cell phone, eating fast food and steering with your knee. Whatever. The point is that you're trying to get a fairly accurate estimate of what your car would run in it's daily configuration. I mean, why else would you pay to run your stock car at the strip? To improve your racing skills? Ha! Right. Maybe 1 in 50 guys actually does that. Everyone else should be tailed home by a police cruiser. Thank God they don't do that, though.

Maybe "stock modified" would be the more appropriate term for cars that use all OE parts, but have been altered from their original showroom condition (i.e. gutted interior).

I just hate it when you're having one of those conversations with other car guys and you have to call them on everything. Just friggin' be straight with people.

Car Guy: "Yeah, I ran a 14 flat back when I was all stock."

Me: (Always have to clarify) "'Bone' stock?"

Car Guy: "Yep. Well, I had a cold air intake... and a chip."

Me: "Ah. Full tire pressure?"

Car Guy: "No, I dropped 20 lbs."

Me: "Full weight?"

Car Guy: "Well, I took the spare tire and jack out."

Me: "So... you didn't run it stock?"

Car Guy: "Hello? Weren't you paying attention? I said I ran a 14, stock."

In 1996: BONE STOCK '90 AWD TSi

I made three passes: all with 2.0 60' times as I didn't know how to launch at all, I only owned the car for two weeks...

If I had known how to launch better.......I might have been able to hit 14.60's. I was told by Dave Buschur at the time that those were strong runs for a bone stock Talon, especially with, as he put it, 60 foot times that "suck."

A friend of mine went 14.6@92 with boost solenoid restrictor removed, air silencer removed, and K & N with 1.85 60's for comparisons' sake=not stock anymore=even FREE mods don't equal BONE STOCK anymore...

So, a 2G AWD BONE STOCK ran 14.5 at 95mph? doubtful...

Mine at the time had just a full 3" exaust and 15lbs of boost.
(I know it wasn't stock, but the interior was complete and my huge subs box in the trunk. )

I ran around 16.5s @ 89mph in all my 3 runs.
But I got fuel cut in all my runs.

This year im shooting for a low 14.0 with all my new mods.

In my 91, I did a 15.1 @ 85mph due to boost leaks and fuel cut.

My 90 never got a chance to be stock. :/
