were is the final drive?

were is the final drive. tranny? T case? rear end? and what the basic function of it?

anybody got some pics or diagrams of final drive gears

What? Do you mean the final drive gear ratio? Thats a calculation based on the several factors...

On FWD, it's in the transmission (transaxle). On AWD, you kind of have two, the one in the transaxle and the one in the rear end. However, they're geared the same.
