i went to the track yesterday and here is my results...
1/8: 9.336 @ 72.70
1/4: 14.575 @ 94.09mph
60': 1.992

i had better 60' times on my other runs, but that was my best timed run, and i broke the wheels free and i think thats why my 60' was so high... my best 60' was 1.976. does this sound like the best i can do with my mods?

mods:
giant K&N intake, apexi turbo back exhaust (2.5 inch downpipe to 3 inch exhaust, no cat), Turbo XS Blow Off, ACT2100, greddy lower intercooler pipe, yokohama avids

do you have a upper innercooler pipe with your xsbov?

also like "damax03" said, boosting over stock settings can help you out.

14.5 is not bad for your car if you didnt do the following mods listed above.

2g gsx huh.. luck.. i wish i had awd...

i have no boost controller.. my gauge is reading 15psi... isnt that the highest i should go with the factory injectors? also, i have the stock upper intercooler piping, but im going to go with a front mount ic with short piping in the future so i dont wanna bother with getting ic pipes im not going to keep that long.

how are you launching? not to sound like an ass, but your 60' could be a bit less. I have about the same mods as you (see profile) except you have an aftermarket clutch, I have a MBC but it is set at 13psi so it's not more than you are running anyways. What I do is hold it at 5000 and drop it. My best 60' is 1.854, bringing your 60' down will do alot. let me know how it goes :thumb:

yeah, i brought it up to 5000, but i didn't completely drop it... i was having trouble with wheel spin though. it was really cold out and i kept breaking my tires free. i need to get new tires i think.

yeah when I was at the track ther other night I was cherping launch a couple times. I know how you feel, sometimes it was hard for me to find a happy medium between bogging and cherping... but when I did wow, I was happy with the run. Once you get new tires tell me how it goes :thumb:

its not going to be until next summer cause i cant afford new tires right now and im about to start going to school again.... oh well. and btw, i wasnt just chirping them, i was like completely spinning them... i think there was a lot of shit at the start line and i was having trouble getting traction. it also doesnt help that it was cold out to. my buddy with a supra that night couldnt keep traction all down the track... it was real bad.

When you go back make sure the track is prepped better it helps alot. Heres my timeslip breakdown.

60ft: 1.768
330ft: 5.509
594ft: 8.080
1/8: 8.649
MPH: 78.97

I have MBC set on 18psi, ported 2g mani and 2 1/2 downpipe. Thats on a good prepped track, no spinning. My launching techniques are of debate but I launch at 6500-7000 :shhh: .

i was thinking it might be because my tires are kinda low on tread... i corner like an asshole and i like to get sideways on the mountain roads by my house so my tires are kinda dead. once i get the money ill get new tires and go back again...

sorry to double post, but what is your 1/4 time? or do you not know? you should be faster than me though cause you have a 1g and you can run a little more boost cause your turbo isnt a complete peice of crap... you finished the 8th almost a full second ahead of me, and your 60ft times are really really good. damn.

Have you tried deflating them a little bit? I know that's what my friend does to the street tires on him Maxima to get better traction. He had his tires down to 25psi.

nope, actually, i didnt try that. next time i go i will try that. i know rwd and fwd cars do this to get traction, but i never thought about it on awd... thanks for the idea.
