So after replacing almost everything in my coolant system, I limited it down to the headgasket (overheating under load).

So lets start the list

Oem headgasket
Intake mani gasket
exhaust mani gasket
lifters
valve stem seals<- smoking almost happy to replace.
All oem belts
What else you guys thinking? And if you guys know any web addresses for really good gaskets or parts feel free to let me know.
After fuel mods I plan on boosting 21-22 street.

Thanks guys!

for the bolts i just went to the hardware store LOL. bolts are bolts.. and saving money is always fun!
as far as the intake and exhaust gaskets i went with whatever autozone had. everything's been keeping up with me.

Why not upgrade the headgasket to an MLS headgasket and arp headstuds?

I think I am going with the arp headstuds. As for mls, it just seems like it needs to be so perfect for it to work while oem head gasket will handle my psi but has more room for error. I plan on getting the head decked and leaving the block untouched in the bay so last thing I want is to put it all back together and my mls headgasket leaks :(.
Thanks for the quick replies!

I want your repair to go smooth and easy as possiable, the way that will happen is if you have good info.

so if you have a idea of what to ask for and look for when you go to the machine shop, your head gasket replacement will be much simpler and run better with less issues.

I hate belt surfacers, but it is a very cheap machine to get , and quick to use, never mind it ruines heads. (you should see how bad a toyota 22re head I have that was just rebuilt about 200 miles ago and was belt surfaced, it is tapered .024 from front to back)

Thanks bogus, Im going to talk to my machine shop at school and see if they can help me mill my head.
So for my checklist Im looking at a
Full head up gasket kit (felpro head gasket)
Arp Studs
copper spray
3g Lifters
Im a little confused on the timing belt area though. Do I just want the timing belt, or the whole kit?
I found a few belts alone on here
And a few belt kits here
What do you guys think? Should I get the other belts two or it doesnt matter as much? (I am on a budget) I just want to do what I need to right.
