Well, so much for the WRX (almost died tonite)

it was a good thing that it happened where it did, at least people were there to help you out. and you came out of it with minor scratches. what was the ticket for? it's not for leaving the scene of the accident is it? you did have to make the call to them and to dry off.

yea, what was the ticket for? Didnt know you got a WRX either...i'm falling behind in my info dammit!

don't worry i didn't know for while either, he was dropping suttle hints in his posts about a week ago, but damn dude that sucks, that dealership/your insurance must LOVE you now dude. What was the ticket for, cops should be cool about giving out tickets at accidents, especially after you help pull his ass out and put chains on his car.

Glad your up and posting! :thumb:

Hah - was wondering if anyone noticed that  I hadn't posted anything about it because I didnt have any pics...

Yeah, I'm sure I should be lining up to be Progressive's b*tch right about now. I was charged on the ticket for Careless Driving / Failure to maintain control of the vehicle. We didnt help him out until after he'd already written the ticket up.... maybe it'll help in court. I hope so.

that shit will get dropped down to something, don't worry about that, you should come out of this OK as long as you bend over and have some KY. are you replacing the WRX with another one?

Man Cliff, sorry to hear about this. I didn't even know that you got a new car, guess I need to be here more. ;) I'm glad you're alright.

Man, I still remember reading the thread w/ your pictures of it. Good to hear you're ok though!

So, who was this gypsie woman you pissed-off so badly?
 You think I'm truly cursed, eh? I dunno who she is...but she's made my life a living hell the last week, not just including the accident.

I had the car for 15 days for those who asked... it had about 650mi on it, total.

sorry to hear about the car. glad you are ok. wrxs shouldn't be driven in the winter anyway. to rear biased and they are made out of cheap metal and use cheap paint. if you look under 1 they start to rust very fast. :thumbdown. anyway hope things turn around for you soon.

The paint is thin, yes. Everything else you said = (Disinformation is baad... mmkay?)

The car held up damn well considering what it went through. The center diff on manual-transmission Subarus is a 50/50 bias, exactly the same as DSMs - except for the STI, which is adjustable. The biggest problem with a WRX that I see is the stock tires, which are god-awful - who knows if good snowtires would have prevented this though.

I'm thinking about another Subaru, maybe a WRX wagon - but I really have no clue what I'll be doing yet.

The car gods are obviously giving you a sign....and that sign is to get another DSM, forget the U-R-A-BUS
