I have just gotten my car back from the shop for them to time it. The balance shaft belt was broke and the car skipped timing. I noticed when i left that I couldnt get my driver window up. So I went to my friends and tried my switch on his car and his on mine is good. If I turn my headlights on the horn will honk I turn them to park or off and they won't turn off. My heater/defrost blower isn't working and the car runs like snit with an a/f of 16 on the AFX. It does drop but only sometimes. I have never been able to keep the battery from dying either. The dash went out completely while trying to get it home earlier but came back on after like 5 seconds. Anyone wanna take a gander. On top of it all my turbo smokes like an english chimeny now too. But at least that is diagnosed. Sad Sad day because all of this use to work.

ps. ECU was checked out to be fine before hand a week ago.

I would start with a new battery.

Also, I do believe that a local parts store (Autozone, Oreillys) can check your electronic system and tell if you if there are any shorts or any other electrical problems going on to an extent.

All of this happened when you got your car back from a shop?

If that is the case, id run back up there and raise hell!

The first thing in electrical is the battery. The next, i recently did my top end and i had removed the large fuse for the headlights under the hood (dont remember why) but with it out the car did some funny stuff. My trans temp light, coolant light, battery light and mil were all on. After i put the fuse back in they all went away. Start with batteey and fuses and go from there.

You probably have some grounding issues. I would call back and complain!
Especially if they worked before it went there.

Definitely sounds like some grounding issues. Get a volt meter and start checking your wiring.

I'm 3 on the ground connections,, just go ahead and don't inspect the connections, but take them off and clean very well the area and bolt back the wires.

Solved long ago sorry for the very late response. They somehow blew the fusible link.
