A few months ago my car started acting very strange. This subject is on an early 90 N/T laser and the car would have a very stange idle and would not rev past 4k and it would miss out wile driving at a crusing speed. I tryed everything to fix it and this guy at advance auto i was talking to told me that it might be the ECU. Well I though i might as well try it I have changed everything else (coil packs, plugs, wires) I have a 92 auto eclipse as a parts car and I thought i might as well try it, I changed the ecu out and it worked and ran GREAT but my tack didn't work. So for the past few months I have been looking for another 90 ECU to get my tack working again and I found one in a junk yard today. I installed it and it started having its problem again but it would rev past 4 with no problem but it would miss out at idle and miss out while you were cusing down the road. My only idea could be that the power trasistor might be going or soemthing. Why would a 92 ECU make my car run great other than the tack not working and a factory ecu run like crap??? Thanks for any help guys
