weird starting problem

Once in a while when I start my car, it will bog down right away and usually shut off. When that happens, you can smell gas like its not being burned. If you keep giving it throttle while it happens then it will go away on like 10 seconds, but you can smell gas. Any ideas? It doesnt do this all the time, just once in a while.

I would replace your engine coolant temp sensor on your thermostat housing. It could be giving an inaccurate reading, causing your car to dump fuel as a safety mechanism. I would then suspect that you may have a faulty 02 sensor, though I don't believe this would affect your situation at idle.
