I'm sure you guys get asked something like this 100 times a week and usually I like to figure things out myself but since I've only had the car since april 07 I don't know a hell of alot about them, and the turbo is a whole new thing to me. It's a 97 gst, with evo3 16g and 550cc injectors, 250 warlbro, don't know how to spell it haha. Anyway, I was on the highway the other day and the gasket between the turbo and the exhaust manifold started leaking really bad, and wouldn't go past 18psi, and the car usually runs at 20-22 and it spools somewhat slowly. So i changed the gasket, and the one from the turbo to the o2 housing. I start it up, sounds great. I went down the street and it still only boosts to 19 and slowly, i dont hear any leaks or anything and its starting to bug me. I know its only a few pounds but it doesn't spool fast either and well it doesn't feel as fun. I tried turning the stupid manual boost controller up but it still won't go past 18 or 19. Any ideas?

Check for boost leaks. Also do you have a logger? If you don't, that's a lot of boost to be running without any way of monitoring your motor. If you do have a logger, what are your idc's at? You are really pushing the limits of 550's with that kind of boost on a evo3 and pump gas.

No logger yet, I bought the car from some guy in New Jersey and its been running like this for years, well since 2002 with the evo3 and at 20psi. I try not to beat on it too much till i get dsm link because I used to have a civic and i tuned that with crome, i know how important a solid tune is. Alright, ill check everything out, thanks for the reply.
