Ok I have no idea what this could be. I run about 23 psi daily, have been doing it for years. I replaced the head and head gasket. Now after working out all the little stuff I'm having a weird boost problem. In 2nd it pulls really hard when I shift I lose all boost then it struggles to build boost. When just in 3rd gear it will build 24 psi at 3700 rpm, but it feels really weak(fells like stock boost of something). When I let off the gas you can't hardly hear the BOV.
Car- 92 eagle tsi FwD late 92 so has the 7 bolt
Upgrades:
evo 3 turbo
evo 3 manifold
s-afc
660 inj
slowboy stage 2 head
stock bov( told it holds 30psi)
Dejon hard piping
supra side mount inter cooler
maf with lower honey comb removed

Has anyone had this problem?

Please let me know any ideas anyone has.

First check for boost leaks. Do you have a logger? If you are seeing knock it will pull timing and feel slow but boost high still. Do you have a wideband?

I dont see you mentioning any MAJOR tuning software. It seems like your hitting a buttload of knock and its taking all the power from it. Keep in mind that you fixed all the bugs, now your car is hitting the way it should....now time to get proper tuning tools if you dont already have one.

I'd say you would do well to get a logger and go from there. That is, after you've done a boost leak test.

Ok thanks everyone! I got a logger from a friend but I need to go
buy a charger. Also after work I'll
go make a Device to do a boost leak test. Will update tonight.

This should work right? IC Pipe Tester

Absolutely will. I used those instructions to make one(just a little differently) but yeah, works all the same man :thumb:

Just f.y.i. This happened to me and it ended up that my turbo was garbage. Good luck though, please let us know what this ends up being for you. I am curious what else this would be?:hmm:

I haven't got my palm charger in yet..

I'm also now having idle issues.. it's
not getting any boost in any low gears and not wanting to idle right so now I'm thinking it has to
be a boost leak or a vacuum leak.
