chtown,
Last night ran the car a Little hard its a 98 gsx with a jdm 6 bolt. And after a hard drive as i was gearing down i could hear this weird noise (sounded like the inner fender was hitting the tire) So i got to a stop popped the hood got out and it was really loud like vibrating noise so i shut the car of got the timing belt cover of started it up everything looked good still odd noise. Shut it of and waited for a few mins and started it up again noise was gone reved it a few times still gone than i slowly came back , right under the oil cover it almost seems like a rocker backed of or something I'm going to pull the valve cover of tonight and see what it looks like! Anyone know what this might be its almost like a whining noise??

Check your pcv valve. Also a boost leak test. You said a whining noise so I'm assuming an air leak?

Well found out what the noise was tonight it was the timing belt so loose it was slapping of everything the hydraulic tensioner failed its right in flush, so i will have to get one tomorrow thanks god it never jumped its timing and good thing i found the problem!! OMG
